Bad News, Atlanta show cancelled

Hi this is Tak "Tone" from IMARi ToNES, Japan.
A bad news, really sorry to tell you this but our show in Atlanta, scheduled on April 11, was cancelled due to the venue closing down. Mmm... it looks like economy is really bad all around the world.

We are now looking for another venue but there is only little time left.
Anyway we will try our best.


Taking this opportunity,
Can I tell you one more thing we want you to know at this time?

Last year we recorded our first Christian theme album "Welcome To The School".
And earlier this year, we signed with Empty Vessel Music.
It's a cool Christian record label who is trying to do good causes in society.

We don't want to keep you waiting, and it's easy for us to release the record on iTunes and CDbaby, but please wait.
Because Empty Vessel Music is non profit label trying to make a difference and they have their plan.
They sure will release our music sooner or later.

We will notify you when it happens!

"Kodomo Metal" on iTunes!

Yes IMARi ToNES has its unknown history of recording many songs independently.
Even before the band member-lineup was completed.

So here we present "Kodomo Metal", which means, "Metal for kids"!

Recorded almost 10years ago, but every musician and music reviewer gets surprised with its totally unique metal/grunge/whatever sound with crazy ideas.

Songs you got to try: Sou, Kosei, Minorities, I'm fish.

Yes now we call ourselves a christian band, but this "Kodomo Metal" is purely a explosion of crazy creativity.

Houston show cancelled；￣ロ￣）！！

Okay this is a bad news.
Our houston show at Scout Bar, scheduled on April 8th, is now cancelled for some reason.
Well, this kind of thing happens often in music business, you know.
オーケー、これは悪いニュースです。
4月8日に予定されていた、Scout Barでのヒューストンのショウは、ある理由によりキャンセルになりました。
音楽ビジネスの世界ではこういうことはよく起こります。

We are now looking for other venue to fill the cancelled date. I think we can find it soon. But I'm not sure if it's gonna be in Houston. It may be in some other city.
私たちは今、空いた日程を埋めるために他のハコを探しています。すぐに見つかると思います。でも、ヒューストンになるかどうかはわかりません。他の街になるかもしれません。

We are not worried at all because this is also a part of God's plan and He can take care of everything.
We are now busy preparing for the tour in April. We are so excited and looking forward to seeing you people.

Journey2004;episode2

2004年のIMARi ToNESのメンバーは、Tone, はらっち、みねっち、だった。
実は2003年の後半から、いろんなメンバー編成を試してみたけれど、うまくいかず、
2004年の3月に、このラインナップになってから、バンドの活動が始まったのだった。

So lineup of IMARi ToNES at that time in 2004 was, Tone, Haratti, and Minetti.
Actually the band has been trying with several other members since the last quarter of 2003 but it didn't work.
And it was only after this 3 guys got together the band started giging constantly.

これがTone。
So this is Tone.

実質的にこいつがバンドのリーダーであり、彼がほとんどの曲を書いている。
IMARi ToNESは彼のバンドであることは否定できない。
彼がまだ学生のとき、自宅のスタジオで音楽を作り始めたのが実に1998年のことだったから、彼はおそらく君が思うよりも年をとっているだろう。
この頃のToneは、主にMusicman Axisのギターを使用していた。

He is the one who started the band and virtually he is the leader of the band.
He is the writer of most of the IMARi ToNES songs.
He was still a student when he started recording songs in his own room in 1998.
So I think he probably is older than you think.

そしてこれがはらっちだ。

And this is Haratti.

彼はもともと、バイオリンを制作する職人になるために訓練を受けた。
しかし、イタリアに渡り彼は、本場の職人にかなわないことを知った。
彼は2003年後半にToneに出会い、その後、2007年7月まで一緒にプレイした。
彼はToneと違い、どちらかというとパンクやモダン・オルタナティヴに興味があった。
そしてそれがIMARi ToNESのサウンドをユニークにした。
今では日本の伝統的な楽器のひとつ、大正琴を制作する職人になっている。
その意味では、彼は音楽への夢と情熱をかなえたといえるだろう。

He was originally trained to be a constructer of violins.
But when he went to Italy, he realized that it was impossible for him to match the skill of Italian craftsman.
He met Tone in August 2003, and played together until July 2007.
He, unlike Tone, was interested in Punk and modern alternative music, which made IMARi ToNES sound unique.
He has now become a craftsman of Taishogoto, Japanese traditional musical instrument.
So in that meaning you can say he has achieved his passion for music.

And this is Minetti.

2004年3月にToneと出会い、2005年の末頃まで一緒にプレイしていた。
彼は古いUKロックと、グラムロックに対する情熱を持っている。
Gibson Thunderbirdを駆使し、個性のあるプレイでアピールしていた。
2006年1月に後任のベーシストが加入し、彼はバンドを抜けたが、その後もToneと彼は良い飲み友達である。
今では古着屋の店長になっている。

He met Tone in March 2004, and has been played together with him until, around the end of 2005.
He has a great passion for classic UK rock music and gram rock.
Using his Gibson Thunderbird, his bass sound was very appealing.
In January 2006 he was replaced with another bass player but he is still a good friend of Tone. They sometimes go drinking together.
He now is running a used clothing shop in his hometown.

この3人で、2004年から2005年にかけての1年間を共に戦い、
そして、"Hero Of The Lights"という作品を作った。

These 3 people, during 2004 and first quarter of 2005, has fought their way together,
and recorded the album which was named "Hero Of The Lights".

この3人での活動は非常に楽しかった。
そして、IMARi ToNESのヒストリーの中でもベストな時期のひとつだった。
そして、IMARi ToNESが、もっとも、日本の、普通のバンドらしい時期だったのではないかと思っている。

It was a great fun and a great journey with these guys.
And certainly it was one of the best era of IMARi ToNES' history in many aspects.
And, I think it was this era, in which IMARi ToNES sounded like a "normal Japanese band" most, in a good way.
